Carpenter

CPC Contracting is seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter with Framing Experience to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential and/or commercial framing and be proficient in reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling structural frameworks. This role is crucial in the early stages of construction projects, ensuring that all framing is level, square, and built to code.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a carpenter with framing experience
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
• Proficient in the use of framing tools (saws, nail guns, levels, etc.)
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions
• Great communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications
• Measure, cut, and assemble lumber and other framing materials
• Construct wall, floor, and roof framing according to plans
• Install doors, windows, subflooring, and sheathing
• Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety standards
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Collaborate with site supervisors, contractors, and other trades
• Maintain a clean and organized work site

Working Conditions:

• Outdoor job sites; exposure to varying weather conditions
• Physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, kneeling, and standing for long periods
• May require early start times and occasional overtime

Pay: $21.00 to $30.00 per hour
