Assistant Manager – CP3 Basketball Academy
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of
the CP3 Basketball Academy. This role plays a critical part in driving membership growth,
strengthening community engagement, and ensuring operational excellence across all
locations. The Assistant Manager will collaborate closely with the Membership Sales
Specialist, manage on-site staff, and maintain the highest standards of service for members
and their families.
Evening availability is required for Skills & Drills sessions, with rotation across three
locations, as well as participation in academy events, parent communication, and
community outreach.
Main Rocks
- Assist the General Manager with assigned tasks.
- Support membership sales and retention initiatives.
- Organize and execute camps and clinics.
- Lead grassroots and school outreach programs.
- Take ownership of PE takeovers at local elementary and middle schools.
- Represent CP3BA at least once a month at community events.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Facilities Management
- Oversee daily operations across three CP3BA locations.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that meets academy standards.
- Manage member check-in procedures and uphold service protocols.
- Monitor staff performance, attire, and adherence to company policies.
- * Maintain proper display of retail and promotional materials.
- * Provide on-site support during events (camps, clinics, leagues, etc.).
Sales & Marketing Support
- Partner with the Membership Sales Specialist to drive new member acquisition and
retention.
- Assist with sales initiatives, member renewals, and incentive-based programs.
- Support grassroots marketing efforts, including school partnerships and community
events.
- Help build and maintain corporate sponsorship opportunities.
- Ensure consistent execution of sales and marketing programs.Community Engagement
- Represent CP3BA at monthly community events.
- Lead school outreach initiatives (e.g., PE takeovers at elementary and middle schools).
- Promote the academy at local grassroots events to expand brand visibility.
Leadership & Staff Management
- Lead by example through professionalism, punctuality, and strong personal
presentation.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work culture.
- Support staff development through training, coaching, and clear communication.
- Hold staff accountable for performance and adherence to academy standards.
Communication & Administration
- Maintain clear and timely communication with the General Manager, staff, and families.
- Manage internal reporting systems and operational software (e.g., Mindbody).
- Assist with collections, scheduling, and general administrative tasks.
- Uphold confidentiality, integrity, and the academy’s high moral code.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in sports, recreation, or youth
programming.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage families and
community partners.
- Sales and customer service experience preferred.
- Proficient in computer systems and reporting tools (Mindbody experience a plus).
- Flexible, positive, and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
