Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizza styles according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food handling activities
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza options and seasonal specials based on customer preferences
- Manage high-volume production during peak hours while maintaining quality and consistency
- Execute precise knife skills for ingredient preparation, including slicing vegetables, meats, and cheeses
- Support food production tasks such as dough preparation, topping assembly, and baking to ensure timely service
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, especially with pizza or similar dishes
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Expertise in cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
- Experience operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while adhering to dietary guidelines and quality standards
- Familiarity with catering processes and high-volume food production environments
- Excellent knife skills combined with a keen eye for detail in ingredient handling and presentation
