Duties
- Provide daily care for pets including feeding, watering, and administering medications as needed
- Maintain clean and sanitized kennels, cages, and common areas to promote health and safety
- Handle animals with gentle restraint techniques, ensuring their comfort during grooming or medical procedures
- Assist with pet boarding services by monitoring pets’ behavior and providing enrichment activities
- Support pet owners through excellent customer service, answering questions and updating them on their pets’ status
- Perform outdoor work such as cleaning outdoor kennels and supervising playtime in secure outdoor areas
- Collaborate with team members during heavy lifting tasks like moving large kennels or equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
Experience
- Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal handling demonstrates your ability to care for diverse animals
- Previous kennel or pet care facility experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and animal behavior management is a plus
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Outdoor work experience helps in managing outdoor kennels and supervising active pets safely
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during daily tasks such as moving supplies or large animals
