CDL Dump Truck Driver

The CDL Dump Truck Driver is responsible for safely transporting construction materials to and from job sites throughout East Tennessee. Drivers will operate in urban, highway, and rural environments while maintaining company safety standards, performing daily vehicle inspections, and ensuring timely and professional delivery of materials.

This position is currently part-time, with the opportunity to expand into full-time employment as workload allows.

Typical hauling includes rock, dirt, mulch, sand, topsoil, and other construction materials. We do not haul asphalt in our trucks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company dump trucks in a variety of driving and job-site conditions
• Haul construction materials to and from job sites, suppliers, and disposal locations
• Plan and navigate efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries
• Comply with DOT regulations, safety requirements, and company policies
• Perform daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness and general condition of assigned truck
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, customers, and other team members
• Manage time effectively while maintaining safe driving practices

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL or higher
• Minimum 1 year of commercial truck driving experience
• Experience operating dump trucks preferred
• Knowledge of DOT safety requirements and vehicle inspection procedures
• Ability to safely navigate construction sites and varying terrain
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Dependable, punctual, and attentive to equipment and job-site safety

Pay

Pay is based on experience and CDL classification.

Class B CDL is required. Class A CDL and heavy equipment operating experience may qualify for higher starting pay.
