About the Job:
We are seeking a strategic, growth-focused sales and operations head to lead our Sales and Operations team based in India. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving the overall business strategy, accelerating revenue growth, and optimizing operational efficiency across the region.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of visionary leadership, sharp commercial acumen, and hands-on execution experience in high-growth environments. You will be accountable for setting and achieving ambitious sales targets, shaping go-to-operation strategies, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring operational excellence across functions.
We are seeking a highly organized, people-first leader to head our India operations — someone who can build teams, drive structure, manage large order volumes, and bring operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Development
- Lead the India Sales and Operations functions (team size: 20 )
- Mentor and grow Sales and Ops Leads; ensure smooth day-to-day execution
- Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team focused on speed and quality
- Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Operations Management
- Manage the entire order lifecycle — from order intake to manufacturing to delivery
- Oversee production planning, procurement, quality control, packaging, and shipping
- Drive turnaround time improvements, reduce delays, and improve output efficiency
- Ensure robust daily/weekly execution rhythms across the operations team
Sales & Order Support Oversight
- Supervise custom quote handling, order confirmations, and customer communication
- Ensure quote response speed, quality, and accuracy across the sales support team
- Act as the escalation point for high-value or urgent customer issues
Structured Reporting & Analysis
- Build and maintain reporting systems across Sales and Ops KPIs
- Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly dashboards to management (Excel, Google Sheets)
- Use data to uncover trends, bottlenecks, and areas of improvement
- Collaborate with the tech team to implement CRM/MRP tools for automation
Cross-functional Leadership
- Be the bridge between India teams and the US-based founders
- Ensure updates, escalations, and feedback loops happen on time
- Collaborate closely with the software, procurement, and customer service teams
Preferred Profile
- 8–12 years of experience in E-commerce, D2C, or high-order-volume environments
- Proven leadership of Sales or Operations teams in a growth-stage company
- Deep understanding of order processing, fulfillment, and customer service workflows
- Excellent with reporting, structured reviews, and performance tracking
- Strong command over Excel/Sheets and comfort with tools like CRMs, ERPs, or custom dashboards
- Team-builder who knows how to coach, correct, and grow people
