Who we are

Cozy Congee is Portland's home for slow-cooked congee — made with house-made bone broth, real ingredients, and a whole lot of heart. Every bowl is crafted with care and served with love. We're a small, close-knit team that takes pride in what we do and genuinely cares about the experience we create for every single person who walks through our door.

The role

We're not looking for someone to fill one box. At Cozy Congee, everyone does everything — taking orders at the counter, prepping ingredients, assembling bowls, bussing tables, washing dishes, keeping the space spotless and welcoming. If that sounds like your kind of day, keep reading.

What we're looking for

• Warm, sweet energy — the kind that guests feel the moment you look up and greet them
• A positive attitude, even on the hard days
• Someone who moves with purpose and doesn't need to be told twice
• High personal standards — you hold yourself accountable because you care, not because someone's watching
• A genuine love of good food and the work it takes to make it
• Comfortable on your feet for up to 8 hours
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Basic knife skills preferred

What you'll do

• Counter service and order-taking
• Food prep and bowl assembly
• Bussing and maintaining the dining space
• Dishwashing and back-of-house support
• Whatever the shift needs — we're a small team and we show up for each other

• Food-handler's card required (or willingness to obtain one)
