Duties
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality in every cup
- Engage with customers warmly, providing personalized service that enhances their café experience
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling
- Manage food safety standards by following proper food handling, preparation, and serving procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas to uphold health regulations
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including basic food assembly and presentation for café offerings
- Handle cash transactions accurately while managing retail math calculations for sales and change
Requirements
- Proven experience as a barista or in the food service industry with specialty coffee knowledge
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and retail transactions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
