Position Overview
This position will be part-time hours beginning January once the children start daycare. The caregiver will care for the children, assist with household laundry and light cleaning, prepare simple meals, and pick up the children from daycare twice a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and loving care for a 5-month-old and 20-month-old.
- Engage the children through interactive, age-appropriate play, reading, and music.
- Incorporate Spanish or French or other language naturally into daily activities to encourage early language learning.
- Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children.
- Complete household laundry and light cleaning tasks (kitchen, play areas, and general tidying).
- Pick up the children from daycare on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Maintain open and positive communication with parents about daily routines, milestones, and needs.
Schedule Details
- Part-Time Schedule (starting January): Approximately 10–15 hours per week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for daycare pick-up
Qualifications
- Native or fluent Spanish or French speaker (English as a second language welcome).
- At least 2 years of professional experience caring for infants and toddlers.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Dependable, proactive, and detail-oriented with a calm, nurturing personality.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
