Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our CPA firm. The ideal candidate will have solid income tax preparation experience and a strong attention to detail, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality work products.
Responsibilities
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for:
- Individuals
- Partnerships
- Corporations
- Trusts
- Prepare and maintain supporting work papers for income tax returns
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and overall quality of tax filings
- Work efficiently within firm standards and deadlines
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting
- CPA candidate preferred but not required
- Minimum of 2–5 years of income tax preparation experience with a CPA firm
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Software Experience
- Lacerte Tax Software
- QuickBooks
- Sage 50 Accounting (Peachtree)
- Microsoft Excel
