Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages to enhance their experience
- Accurately take customer orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Manage table settings, clear dishes, buss tables, and assist with food handling and sanitation practices in accordance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, process payments, and provide correct change
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns or special needs promptly
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience in a fast-paced food service environment is required
- Familiarity with POS systems is a strong advantage
- Experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality settings is desirable
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations within the food industry
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse situations professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
