We are looking for a highly skilled, self-motivated Commercial Painter to specialize in refinishing our heavy-duty commercial equipment. Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Refinishing & Body Work: Perform high-quality refinishing and light body work on damaged parts and complete bodies of commercial trucks, trailers, tanks, and heavy equipment.
  • Comprehensive Painting: Execute all phases of the painting process, including expert mixing and matching to exact color specifications.
  • Surface Preparation & Blasting: Thoroughly remove rust, grease, dirt, and old paint using manual tools, power sanders, and sandblasting equipment.
  • Blasting Oversight: Oversee the blasting process and ensure team members adhere to quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Paint Application: Apply primer, base, and finish coats using spray guns or brushes as appropriate.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maneuver equipment within the shop, including fork trucks and Skytrax (telehandlers), to position materials and vehicles.
  • Facility Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on the paint booth and blast booth to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly maintain and wear all required safety gear, including respirators, and adhere to all shop procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Painting Expertise: Must have previous, proven experience as an industrial or commercial painter, specifically within a dealership, collision/body shop, or heavy equipment environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: A sharp eye for detail and mastery of color matching is essential.
  • Willingness to Learn: While painting is the primary requirement, candidates must be willing to learn and perform light body work, sandblasting, and booth maintenance.
  • Work Ethic: Must be self-motivated, dependable, and capable of managing time efficiently without constant supervision.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Possess general mechanical skills for the disassembly and reassembly of parts for painting preparation.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
