We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting machines to produce precision sheet metal components. Responsibilities
- Set up CNC laser cutting machines according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications, ensuring proper calibration and tooling.
- Operate CNC laser equipment safely and efficiently to produce precise cuts on various sheet metal materials.
- Program CNC laser machines using CAD/CAM software, making adjustments as needed for optimal performance.
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of CNC laser systems to prevent downtime.
- Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Collaborate with fabrication teams on assembly processes, tooling requirements, and fabrication techniques such as plasma cutting, welding, or machining when necessary.
- Operate forklifts or cranes as needed for material handling and loading/unloading raw materials or finished parts.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production logs, quality reports, and machine maintenance records.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with GD&T principles is highly desirable.
- Skilled in programming CNC equipment using CAD/CAM software; experience with CNC programming languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes including plasma cutting, welding, assembly, and tooling setup.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection.
- Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely; certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
- Strong safety awareness with adherence to all safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.
