Job Summary
- The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Wound Care nurse provides direct patient care and coordinates hyperbaric oxygen therapy and wound care. Nursing care is focused on specialized assessment, diagnosis, planning, treatment and evaluations of patients receiving hyperbaric oxygen therapy and wound care. The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Wound Care nurse is skilled with care and management of patients with chronic wounds resistant to healing and may have specialized training in the field of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and wound care.
- Education
- Required: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing or NLN approved program
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Experience
- Required: 6 months of prior experience as a Registered Nurse, or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in an outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting
- Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
- Exhibits ability to manage time and prioritize work.
- Proficient Computer skills
- Wound Care Certification preferred
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Required: Current Registered Nurse License active in the state of Missouri
- Must obtain American Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hire
- Obtain Hyperbaric Registered Nurse Certification within 2 years of employment
- ACLS Certification within 1 year of employmentEducation: ▪ Required: Graduate of a state board accredited School of Nursing or NLN approved program Experience: ▪ Preferred: Previous nursing experience Skills:

- Carry out delegated tasks as directed by supervisors or with provider oversite.
