Expand your healthcare knowledge and experience while maintaining your skills at the bedside in a hybrid position. Our Virtual Nursing Command Center features advanced technology that provides patients with extra monitoring from admission to discharge.
Our virtual nurses are centrally located in the Virtual Command Center at Cox South and use this technology to support bedside RNs with tasks to lighten their workload.
They also monitor patient vital signs, assist with admissions and discharges, and collaborate with virtual physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and the Early Intervention Team.
As a virtual nurse, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with managing the care of adult or geriatric patients experiencing general medical conditions or general surgical procedures.
Key responsibilities include completing the admission and discharge process, developing and maintaining care plans, educating patients and families, coordinating care, mentoring new nurses, and implementing evidence-based care.
You will also assist primary bedside nurses with tasks not required to be done in person and participate in real-time quality and patient safety surveillance.

Job Summary
The Medical-Surgical nurse is responsible for managing the care of adult or geriatric patients experiencing general medical conditions or general surgical procedures.
This hybrid virtual nurse will work at least one shift per pay period as an eAcute Virtual Med-surg nurse and the remainder of shifts as a bedside nurse.
As a virtual nurse, you must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records, and provide patients and families with support and education.
Job Requirements
Education
Required : Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
Required : At least two years' nursing experience.
Accountable and responsible for own safe clinical practice.
Licensure / Certification / Registration
Required : Active RN license in the state of Missouri.
Required : BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
