What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Manager position at Cox Transportation Logistics LLC?
We are currently seeking a Fleet Manager at our location in Evansville, IN.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under appropriate supervision with latitude for independent judgment, performs a variety of assignments, both technical and clerical, including material receipt, inspections, storage and shipping. Also includes implementing, coordinating and assisting in the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out a sequence of related warehousing functions and responsibilities. Duties require manual, clerical and data entry skills.
- Tracks and logs driver hours and logs to ensure compliance with DOT.
- Tracks location of equipment.
- Directs drivers and gives appropriate information with regard to deliveries
- Interfaces with customers regarding service failures or OS&D
- Update metric sheet daily.
- Assists as needed with developing invoicing data, and coordinates this information with accounts payable.
- Works with maintenance department to ensure equipment is operational within DOT guidelines.
- Responsible for Local and OTR scheduling within operations systems.
- Audits transportation invoices weekly.
