Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including performance, attendance, workplace concerns, and policy interpretation.
- Support full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for exempt and non-exempt roles.
- Administer and support bi-weekly payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including annual open enrollment, and respond to employee benefit inquiries.
- Develop, maintain, and update HR policies, procedures, forms, and internal process documentation.
- Conduct periodic reviews and updates to the Employee Handbook to ensure alignment with employment laws and company practices.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour, FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and applicable leave laws.
- Track and manage employee leave balances and documentation within the HRIS system.
- Maintain accurate employee records and data integrity across HR systems.
- Prepare HR reports and metrics for leadership review, including headcount, turnover, compliance tracking, and benefit participation.
- Support employee training initiatives and HR-related projects.
- Communicate professionally and maintain strict confidentiality in all HR matters.
Education
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar role.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems.
- Experience with Paycor and or Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and sound judgment
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS, payroll, benefits, and recruiting systems
- Standard office environment
- Monday through Friday schedule: 8:00a.m. – 5:00p.m.
- Sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds
- Pre-employment background check and drug screening required
- Subject to random and post-accident drug screening
