Cox Planning Solutions assists property developers and managers obtain environmental related permits and other approvals for their improvement projects. Our work involves obtaining land use permits, aquatic resources permits, special habitat permits, and associated NEPA/CEQA approvals.

We are seeking an environmental planner with at least 2 years of related work experience. The ideal candidate will have a minimum bachelor's degree in environmental science, landscape architecture, or related field and will be proficient in the following technical areas:
- Professional knowledge of NEPA, as well as other environmental laws that regulate land improvements, such as the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and related California state laws. Knowledge of other state environmental laws such is a plus.
- Technical ability to read maps and understand and measure natural resources. GIS/CAD background is desirable.
- Ability to proficiently write assessments, project descriptions, alternatives analyses, mitigation plans, and other related documents.
- Understanding of how property development happens, how environmental laws are related, and what triggers a permit.
- Ability to analyze complex documents and data and work through project solutions. Legal experience with applications and related information is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
