Job Summary: Reporting directly to the Vice President of Student Affairs, the Director of Student Enrollment & Success provides dynamic, strategic campus leadership in planning, developing, and executing Cowley Colle's enrollment management plan. The Director of Student Enrollment & Success is responsible for overseeing recruitment, enrollment, admissions, academic advising & retention.
Position Duties:
- Develop an aggressive results-oriented enrollment, recruitment and retention plan for increasing student headcount and FTE for both returning and new students in coordination with Academics.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and various departments on short- and long-range enrollment management plans.
- Track, review, analyze, and interpret data to ensure data-based decisions to establish, improve, and refine objectives and develop strategies in support of enrollment management plans.
- Develop a plan to actively communicate with and reach out to area high school students to promote college opportunities.
- Maintain, formulate, develop, and propose appropriate policies and procedures for Student Enrollment & Student Success functions.
- Maintain the college mission by promoting the student-centered philosophy throughout the college.
- Develop and oversee high-quality programs in the areas of recruitment/admissions, academic advising, assessment, student success, and retention.
- Develop and monitor annual department budgets in Student Enrollment & Success departments.
- Communicate College decisions, events, and relevant information to the various departments in the College.
- Manage the components of the Cowley Connect and Jenzebar systems, including training of academic advising and assignment of students to an appropriate advisor.
- Ensure appropriateness of systems to support departmental compliance functions and monitor compliance with state and federal regulations and reporting requirements
- Formulate, implement, and evaluate strategies to enhance student success.
- Partner with Academic Affairs in the development and implementation of 2 2 agreements with 4-year colleges/universities.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to assess special needs of and for students, identify barriers, and implement change.
- Actively participate in the activities and events within the Enrollment Management department.
- Maintain quality high school and community relations.
- Keep abreast of various student services areas by participation in professional organizations.
- Maintain courteous, professional, and effective working relationships with employees, vendors, and/or any other representatives of external organizations.
- Assume all other exempt-related duties assigned by the Vice President of Student Affairs.

- Must understand budgets and resource allocation principles. Requires the ability to effectively plan work within the resources provided.

- A strong understanding of governmental programs, agencies, and laws that specifically address College and student issues.

Required Education Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree, required.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Experience in higher education field required.
Required Experience:
- Enrollment management experience required.
- Experience in a higher education setting is required.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- A demonstrated sensitivity in working with people with diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds as well as those with disabilities.
Supervisory Requirements: Admissions Representatives, Recruiters, Advising/Retention, Marketing, VA Military, and International Student Services.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time; ability to move freely around the campus and outreach centers; ability to lift up to 20 pounds; ability to bend, stoop, reach and grasp as required to perform responsibilities; ability to drive motor vehicle; and ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
Majority of work performed in an office environment. Flexible hours, evenings, weekends and occasional overnight stays away from home may be required.
