Position: Cashier
Status: Part-time, 5pm - 1am (weekends, evenings, and some holidays)
Salary: $17.50-$19.00/hr.
About this role: As a Cashier at River Park Square, you'll do more than process payments – you'll create moments of delight for every visitor. With your exceptional customer service skills, you'll greet, assist, and ensure seamless transactions, all while being part of a dynamic team shaping urban hospitality. What you'll do:
- Operate cash register after time calculation and calculates the cost of transaction
- Receives payment by cash, check credit cards, or vouchers from patrons and accurately give change back when necessary
- Reconciles cash till at the beginning and end of each shift and restock as necessary
- Calculates total payments received during a shift and reconciles this with total sales from the printed computer transaction report
- Provides exemplary customer service while greeting, conversing, and assisting customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Directs customers to their requested locations or mall personnel
- Inventory supplies in pay stations and re-stock when necessary
- Walk to and around customer vehicles to assist customers within a 50-foot radius of the parking office
- Minor mechanical assistance with parking ticket machines, including lifting the mechanical equipment’s covers to replenish tickets or relieve ticket jams
- Communicates via phone, radio, and intercom systems in a prompt and courteous manner with onsite personnel and customers
- Other duties as assigned
What you'll contribute to our team: The skill to deal effectively with customers is required. Cashier must be able to maintain a pleasant and mannerly demeanor when speaking with customers. Ability to anticipate and provide solutions to customers’ needs; ability to give high priority to customer satisfaction and deal tactfully and effectively with differences of opinion. Ability to obtain positive results in adverse situations; ability to maintain customer confidence and trust. Must be able to listen effectively and understand customer concerns and requests to pass information to another for resolution, as necessary. May resolve routine customer concerns and respond to routine requests. Ability to stand inside and outside of work area to be visible and approachable, while maintaining primary job functions.
