We are looking for a Senior Contract Manager to join our team. You are going to work closely with a team of experts on some of North America’s most significant projects. As a member of the North America Projects team, you will work across the transportation infrastructure sector, supporting projects within transit, tunnels, metros, highways, bridges, and marine infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage and administer the main contract on assigned projects, with the focus on Medium, High or Very High-risk projects (or any other as directed by Project leadership) and advise project and senior management on ways to manage, mitigate and improve on commercial risks/opportunities for COWI.
  • Core activities will include correspondence/minutes drafting, identification, tracking, drafting and resolution of changes, attending internal and external meetings where commercial/contract matters are addressed.
  • Administer the prime project agreement and any other subconsultant and partnership agreements using best practice contract management processes
  • Review all project contract documentation and identify project risks, compliance issues and cost concerns and implement appropriate actions
  • Prepare, assess, and negotiate changes, claims, and disputes
  • Communicate and liaise with client representatives on all project contract issues
  • Support, advise, and guide the internal project team with respect to all contract matters

On top of that, you will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or related discipline
  • Experience on large-scale multi-disciplinary design build projects or progressive design builds
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in a similar contract administration role or equivalent (Experience in the Engineering and Construction industry is considered an asset)
  • A professional designation with the International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM) or similar professional entity is considered an asset
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Willingness to travel across North America to support projects on an as needed basis (visit site locations, teams, and clients) (0-15%)

Base compensation: $160,000 to $252,000 for Virginia location only. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, skill set and/or location.
