What Does an Audiologist Assistant Do?
As an audiologist assistant, you help patients receive audiology services. In this role, you may assist in conducting a hearing test, ensure the proper fitting of a hearing aid, service existing hearing aids to resolve problems, and perform other clerical and administrative tasks as needed. Audiologist assistants often work under the direct supervision of an audiologist, help enhance patient satisfaction, conduct clinical research, and help schedule appointments. This job may require working in a team with other audiologist assistants as needed, especially when dealing with patients who have special needs.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with patient assessment and patient service procedures
- A clear, strong speaking voice
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
