Driver Requirements
Qualified applicants must:
- Be at least 22 years of age
- Hold a valid Class A CDL
- Have a minimum of 24 months of Class A CDL driving experience
- Maintain a favorable driving record that meets Cowboy USA's safety standards
- Obtain a Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement and TWIC card within 90 days of employment
- Have a working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- Be able to maintain all DOT-required licenses, certifications, and documentation
- Successfully complete all required pre-employment screening, including drug testing
Key Responsibilities
As a Local Class A CDL Driver, you will:
- Safely operate various tractor-trailer combinations between customer facilities, work sites, terminals, and port facilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Complete assigned pickups and deliveries safely and on schedule
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and other team members
- Perform and accurately document required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow all Cowboy USA safety policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate driver, trip, and DOT-required records
- Properly care for company equipment and promptly report safety or maintenance concerns
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
