About the Role
Cowboys Logistics is seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our growing team in New Orleans, LA. This role is focused on identifying new business opportunities, generating qualified leads, and developing customer relationships that drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate is proactive, competitive, and excited by the challenge of building new business in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and outreach efforts
- Build relationships with prospective customers and key decision-makers
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Understand customer transportation needs and present customized logistics solutions
- Manage opportunities through the sales process and support customer onboarding
- Maintain accurate activity tracking and pipeline management within CRM systems
- Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure customer success
- Stay informed on industry trends and market opportunities
- Meet and exceed individual business development goals and performance expectations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Previous sales, business development, customer service, or customer-facing experience preferred
