Special Ed. Resource Teacher/504 Coordinator

This educator provides specialized instruction and academic support to students with diverse learning needs in grades 5-6. They collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students in 5th and 6th grades and Section 504 plans for K-6 students. Responsibilities include monitoring student progress, teaching students to achieve IEP goals, coordinating accommodations and services, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, organizing and scheduling case conferences, and advocating for student success. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to support both students and staff effectively.
