What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Biller position at covina Arthritis Clinic?
A Rheumatology practice is looking for a medical biller with at least 3 years experiences in medical billing . our practice established in 2003 , and our office is a new facility with a state of art medical building.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Experience with HMO, Commercial, and Medi-Medi insurance plans
- Insurance eligibility verification and benefits knowledge
- Claims submission, denial follow-up, and patient collections
- Payment posting, including insurance take-backs
- Prior authorization experience
- Infusion billing experience, including copay assistance submissions
- Familiarity with insurance portals
- Experience with Veradigm Payerpath / Allscripts is optional
- Front desk experience preferred
Technical Skills:
- Typing speed of 60–80 WPM with strong 10-key skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe PDF
