Covia is looking for a dynamic Maintenance employee who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Technisand Wedron, IL location.
The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:
- Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on production equipment and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
- Examines, tests, and measures product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments, and records data on appropriate forms.
- Makes preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
- Examines defects and analyzes spoilage causes and, where possible, takes corrective action. Analyzes and records cause of production delays on daily maintenance report.
- Conveyer Belt Repair and regular Maintenance
- Clean, repair, and rebuild pumps, cylinders, solenoids, and air valves
The successful candidate will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Bearings
- Ambitious and self-motivated worker
- Able to prioritize work schedule to execute in order of importance
- Must be able to cut and weld (stick, mig, oxy/act, plasma, etc.)
- Electrical experience is preferred
- Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools, read blueprints, service bulletins, etc.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts if necessary or stay over shift if needed.
