Job: SAP SD/OTC Billing (E-Invoicing and DRC) Consultant
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana (remote with Occasional Travel required and expenses will be covered)
Type: Long Term Contract
Experience
- 10-12 years of SAP SD/OTC experience, with 6 years focused on billing
E-Invoicing and DRC (Key Focus)
- End-to-end implementation of SAP DRC for e-invoicing and statutory reporting
- Configuration and use of the eDocument Cockpit (EDOC_COCKPIT) and eDocument framework
- Country-specific e-invoicing mandates such as Peppol, Italy SDI, Colombia, Romania e-invoicing reform
- Both outbound (sales invoice) and inbound (supplier invoice) e-invoicing processes
- Tracking regulatory changes and translating new mandates into system solutions
- Coordination with tax, legal, and finance teams on compliance requirements
Core Billing
- Billing types, copy control, item categories, and billing relevance
- Invoice split and combination logic, collective billing, and billing due list
- Billing plans (periodic and milestone) and down payment processing
- Credit and debit memos, returns, cancellations, pro forma, and intercompany billing
- Settlement Management (condition contracts) replacing classic rebates
- BRF based Output Management and Adobe Forms for invoices
End-to-End OTC
- Business Partner, sales orders, pricing procedures, and condition techniques
- Credit management (FIN-FSCM), delivery, and goods issue
- Accounts receivable, cash application, dispute management, and collections
Finance Integration
- Revenue account determination (VKOA) and resolution of posting errors
- Tax determination and integration with external tax engines (Vertex, ONESOURCE, Avalara)
- CO-PA / margin analysis, and revenue recognition under RAR (IFRS 15 / ASC 606)
- Period-end reconciliation between SD and FI
S/4HANA Knowledge
- Simplification List, simplified data model, and Fiori billing apps
- SAP Activate methodology and fit-to-standard workshops
- SAP Best Practices scope items for OTC
Technical Skills
- Writing functional specs for enhancements, forms, interfaces, and reports
- Conceptual knowledge of user exits, BAdIs, and copy/requirement routines
- IDocs and EDI (INVOIC) and third-party system interfaces
- Data migration for open orders, billing plans, and rebate agreements
Leadership and Soft Skills
- Leading business workshops and managing senior stakeholders
- Guiding onsite and offshore teams and reviewing deliverables
- Owning testing (SIT, UAT), cutover planning, and hypercare
- Preparing training materials and training key users
Preferred
- SAP S/4HANA Sales certification
- Industry billing experience (resource-related billing, consignment, third-party, or SAP BRIM)
- Experience with multi-country rollout
