Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Yard Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers within the yard. This role requires a strong understanding of enclosed cargo trailers and farm tractor operation. The Yard Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring that freight is loaded and unloaded correctly, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A FARM TRACTOR TO BE HIRED.
Responsibilities
- Safely maneuver tractors within the yard to position trailers for loading and unloading.
- Maintain accurate records of trailer movements.
- Collaborate with shipping supervisor to ensure proper lineup of loads in a timely manner.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment within the yard.
Qualifications
- Experience operating farm tractors is required. We do not train.
- Previous experience as a tractor driver is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required.
