As a Research Data Specialist II / I you will:
- Lead or support ongoing development of enrollment, revenue and expenditure forecasting Covered California.
- Develop independently or under guidance prepare queries against the data warehouse utilizing numerous tools.
- Prepare or support the preparation of reports.
- Provide technical support to other Covered California divisions on data analysis issues.
This position is headquartered in Sacramento County, 1601 Exposition Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95815. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquarters office subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. Travel expenses associated with commuting to the employee’s office headquarters location are not reimbursable, other than authorized transit subsidies.
Salary: $7,640.00 - $9,561.00 per Month

Qualifications We’re Looking For:
- Effective written and verbal communication to inform decision-making.
- Well-versed in working with a variety of data warehouses and extracting data from relational databases utilizing programming software tools such as Microsoft SQL, Python, R, STATA, and SAS.
- Knowledge and experience with fiscal forecasting and budgeting planning
- Ability to model economic and fiscal impact estimates of government policies, statutes, and/or regulations.
