Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to recipes and quality standards. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our customers receive delicious and well-presented meals.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Cook food items on the line during service hours
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate with the kitchen manager to ensure timely ingredient replenishment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and cleaning of cooking utensils
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Line Cook or in the culinary field is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
