What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Behavior Technician position at Coventry Board of Education?
Job Summary:
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a member of Coventry's district-wide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Team. RBT's support students and staff under the supervision of a district Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Provide a consistent model of trauma-informed ABA practices
- Model professionalism and adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the BACB
- Provide constructive feedback to 1:1 staff supporting individualized student programs
- Work with individual students to reinforce basic skills and check their use of instructional materials under the supervision of the teacher/BCBA
- Model and monitor data collection procedures with a focus on consistency and fidelity
- Collaborate with the teacher/BCBA to complete curriculum-based assessments that guide individualized programming
- Support generalization and maintenance of skills across school environments
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support student needs
- Safely supervise students in both instructional and assessment activities in and out of the classroom
- Assist the teacher/BCBA in the development and construction of materials to be used as instructional and reinforcement activities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $29.00 per hour
