Job Summary:
Coventry Public Schools is seeking dedicated and caring Paraeducators to support students across multiple grade levels and programs. Paraeducators play a vital role in fostering student success by assisting with instruction, supporting individual learning needs, and contributing to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative school environment.
Working closely with teachers and support staff, paraeducators help students achieve academic, social, and behavioral goals while promoting independence and engagement in the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Support students in classroom and small-group settings
- Assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom management
- Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support as directed
- Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff to meet student needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children preferred
