Job Summary: Covenant Woods is seeking a Full-time 3-11 Supervisor. Makes rounds on all units several times during shift to assure that units are adequately staffed and that nursing care is being provided in accordance with all regulatory standards and Covenant Woods policies. Serves as a clinical resource to staff. Has oversight of all admissions and discharges. During shift, responds to resident emergencies. May serve as a unit charge nurse when necessary. Responsible for providing competency and skills testing to all nursing staff and assures the facility is in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations. Member of Nursing Leadership.

Education and Experience:
Must be capable of supervising and mentoring staff with varying degrees of education and experience.
Position requires three or more years of supervisory experience in a geriatric care setting. Must possess strong clinical skills. Must be able to respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Job Specifications:
Must be an RN with a current license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Excellent customer service skills and communication skills required.
Physical Requirements:
Work requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching, handling items, and feeling are required. Stooping, kneeling and crouching are required frequently. Intact sense of sight, hearing, touch and smell are required. Finger dexterity needed. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and push/pull up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Works in a clean, well-lighted environment. May work alone or with others. Sometimes must work in noisy conditions. Exposed to infection and odor and may have to deal with diverse behaviors.
Equipment:
Must have proficient computer skills. Knowledge of how to operation all clinical equipment.
