What are the responsibilities and job description for the RESIDENT DINING ASSISTANT position at COVENANT WOODS?
Provide residents with hydration and nutrition according to their prescribed diet. Maintain a clean and safe environment and perform job responsibilities in a safe manner.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Meal set up and meal preparation.
- Plating of meals according to the resident’s diet as ordered and menu selections.
- Break down and clean up after meals.
- Handwashing dishes or usage of dishwasher
- Housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Distribute ice, beverages, and/or snacks.
- Report any observations to the Charge Nurse and/or CNA.
- Respond in a calm, courteous, and cooperative manner to residents, staff, and visitors.
- Must have Long term care experience or dining experience in a health care environment.
- Embrace and model Covenant Woods business standards, Code of Conduct, and focus on the Promise in all aspects of delivery of service.
Shifts Available: Part-Time
7-3p Thur,Friday/Tues,Wed and Every Other weekend
4-8p Every Other Weekend
Job Specifications:
- Heimlich maneuver training required.
Education and Experience:
- Safe Serve Training Certification or willing to train within 6 months of hire
- Able to read and write in English and understand portion measurements.
