Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across all areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following established safety protocols for cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Conduct lifting and manual handling tasks in accordance with safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Maintain facilities by performing routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, window washing, and surface disinfecting.
- Operate cleaning machinery efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines to ensure optimal floor care and sanitation standards.
- Support general maintenance activities including minor repairs and upkeep of cleaning tools and supplies.
- Provide excellent service by responding promptly to requests for cleaning or maintenance assistance from staff , members, or visitors.
- Operate walk behind lawn mower and landscape trimming equipment as needed.
- Ensure placement of equipment and room layout for upcoming gatherings.
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or residential settings demonstrating proficiency in cleaning techniques and equipment use.
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents to ensure a safe work environment.
- Experience operating floor cleaning equipment essential for effective floor care.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and general upkeep is preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting and transfers safely while following proper ergonomic practices.
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards and safety protocols related to custodial work.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain cleanliness standards consistently.
