Job Description

You will manage an assigned portfolio of individual and business clients, developing and implementing proactive tax strategies and taking responsibility for annual tax returns. We seek an excellent communicator who builds relationships, takes initiative, and independently moves client work forward.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Tax Planning: Develop customized tax strategies and projections, and follow through on implementation.
• Tax Preparation: Prepare and/or review annual individual and business tax returns, ensuring planning strategies are properly reflected.
• Client Communication: Lead planning meetings, explain recommendations clearly, and proactively follow up throughout the year.
• Client Relationships: Know your clients, understand their goals, and serve as their primary tax advisor.
• Technical Expertise: Monitor relevant tax law changes and identify planning opportunities for assigned clients.
• Engagement Ownership: Manage client needs, follow-up, and deadlines from start to finish while collaborating with our team.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential required.
• Strong individual and business tax preparation experience, including S corporations and partnerships.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; enjoys building client relationships.
• Self-directed, organized, and proactive; takes ownership and follows through independently while staying connected to a small, collaborative team.
• Strong professional judgment and attention to detail; comfortable working in a fully remote environment.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting not required but preferred
• 5 years of experience in a public CPA firm.
