What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Technician I position at Covenant Logistics?
As a Tractor Technician I, you will perform maintenance and repairs on class 8 equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs on class 8 equipment within employee current skill level.
- Inspect equipment during the repair process to determine if additional repairs are necessary.
- Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of Lew Thompson.
Qualifications
- Own the tools required to perform the position responsibilities of this level excluding those provided by the company
- Understand, communicate, read, and write the English language
- Ability to Lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis and 95 lbs. on a frequent basis to mount tires
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license required
Competitive Compensation
Covenant’s compensation philosophy’s intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range: $20.00-$28.50
Pay Grade: CTGL12.1
