Job Title - Cloud & Python Systems Engineer
Location - Hybrid in Warren, NJ – 4 days per week in office
Role Type - 6-month Contract-to-Hire
Must Have Skills:
- Hands-on technical generalist with experience spanning software development, IT/cloud infrastructure, APIs, automation, systems administration, and troubleshooting
- Strong Python development skills with Django or comparable Python web framework experience
- Hands-on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience
- Docker/container experience
- Ability to independently research and solve unfamiliar technical problems across a broad technology stack
Responsibilities and Job Details:
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Python/Django applications and backend services
- Build Python scripts, automation tools, REST APIs, and third-party integrations
- Deploy and operate applications in cloud environments, with an emphasis on GCP
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, networking, authentication, and integration issues
- Work across databases, application servers, APIs, cloud-hosted services, and IT systems
- Automate repetitive engineering, IT, and operational processes
- Support containerized applications and modern deployment technologies
- Assist with monitoring, logging, application reliability, and security
- Research new APIs, platforms, and technologies and determine practical integration approaches
- Collaborate directly with engineering and product teams in a small, cross-functional environment
- Contribute broadly across software development, cloud infrastructure, automation, integrations, and AI initiatives
- Operate as an adaptable technical problem solver who can move between development and systems/infrastructure work as business needs evolve
