Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of remodeling duties including demo, clean up, carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, drywall repair, painting, and finishing work.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete projects on time.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, trim carpentry, stucco, masonry, roofing, glass, and other fixtures as needed.
- Conduct construction inspections to ensure quality standards are met throughout each phase of the project.
- Manage construction site safety protocols and coordinate with team members to maintain an organized work environment.
- Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for efficient project execution.
- Operate heavy equipment when necessary for site preparation or material handling.
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to ensure specifications are met while adhering to timelines.
- Perform restoration work including concrete finishing, plastering, caulking, fabrication, and masonry repairs.
- Shop work: Cleaning, organization, material handling, shop upkeep.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading
- Detailed and Clean worker a must
- Skilled in construction time management
- Knowledge of construction inspection procedures to maintain quality control standards.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC components, and related schematics.
- Ability to operate power tools such as saws, drills, grinders, and concrete mixers safely.
- Strong background in various trades including carpentry (frame carpentry, trim carpentry), roofing, masonry (concrete forming), tile laying, flooring installation, welding, restoration techniques (stucco & plastering), glass installation, cabinet installation, hardscape work, and general remodeling tasks.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation relevant to construction sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail in all aspects of remodeling work. Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
