Position Summary:
The Nurse/Clinical Liaison is a Registered Nurse with demonstrated clinical expertise, leadership skills and exceptional communication. This position partners with nursing leadership, Human Resources, nursing Managers, preceptors, Nurse Residency Coordinator, Clinical Practice Specialists, and academic partners to grow our clinical pipeline.

Responsibilities
- Builds relationships with all nursing schools in and around our marketplace and becomes the trusted Covenant expert on the school to nurse process. Also partners with schools to focus on other clinical positions and building a pipeline of candidates. This includes but is not limited to CNA, LPN, and MA programs.
- Provides class talks, faux interviews, etc. for college/university nursing classes.
- Work closely with the HR field staff and the high school health science pipeline. Seeks out partnerships with additional high schools, colleges and universities to expand our candidate pipeline. Works with the existing high school work employees and recruits future high school students for the program.
- Participates in the recruitment process of new graduate registered nurses.
- Works closely with the Nurse Residency Coordinator and all new nurse hires on the onboarding process and transition to nursing roles in our facilities.
- Contacts and communicates with all student nursing assistants to help build stronger relationships with them before they graduate.
- Partners with senior leaders to create career paths for entry level employees into clinical roles.
- Stays abreast of competitive rates, benefits, and future trends in hiring practices for clinical roles.
- Partners with LLD on TCPS student placement system as well as work collaboratively with the CPS staff on creating needed future new nurse content and partners with other clinical leaders to develop content for other disciplines.
- Works with the Marketing team to develop compelling marketing materials, drip campaigns and communication to new hires and potential new hires.
- Uses blogs and social media marketing campaigns to recruit clinical candidates.
- Creates and maintains a dashboard for tracking school touchpoints, number of hires and future candidates.
- Develops and maintains the budget related to the school visits, swag etc.
- Recommends recruitment and retention strategies as it relates to new hire clinicians.
- Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
Minimum Experience:
Three (3) to five (5) years of post-licensure, acute care nursing experience required.
Licensure Requirements:
Current RN license in the State of Tennessee. Certification in Nursing Professional Development required or must have within 3 years. Employee must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license and state mandated minimum insurance coverage.
