Position Summary
Works under the general supervision of the Manager of Materials Distribution to provide receiving and warehousing function. Uses the Materials Management Information System to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs all duties necessary to ensure that the warehousing needs of the hospital are met in a timely and high quality manner.
None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill, and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.

Position Summary
Works under the general supervision of the Manager of Materials Distribution to provide receiving and warehousing function. Uses the Materials Management Information System to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs all duties necessary to ensure that the warehousing needs of the hospital are met in a timely and high quality manner.
- Responsible for entering stock issues and direct patient charges into the MMIS.
- Responsible for the correct and timely labeling of all items in the central supply storeroom.
- Responsible for the pulling and dispensing of all storeroom orders for Par Carts, Case Carts, walk up orders, etc.
- Delivers inbound shipments to end user departments as needed.
- Aids in the cycle count and physical inventory processes as directed.
- Receives and signs for inbound deliveries from vendors.
- Enters receipt transactions and creates patient charge labels using the MMIS and bar code printers.
- Responsible for the neat and orderly restocking of the warehouse shelves.
- Recommends warehouse space allocation changes to the management staff.
- Accountable for the accuracy of the on-hand balances of the stock held in the central supply inventory.
- Provides training and education to peer staff on topics such patient charging, stock issues, receiving, labeling, etc.
- Responsible for professional communications with customers and support personnel via telephone or in person.
- Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
