Job Summary
We are seeking a Toddler classroom assistant who is passionate about the Lord Jesus and has a heart for teaching and caring for young children. We are looking for a dedicated Preschool Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, classroom management, and child development. This role involves guiding children through their formative years, teaching them to hide God's Word in their heart, fostering social, emotional, and cognitive growth while ensuring their safety and well-being. Experience working with children of various abilities, including those with disabilities, is highly valued. The Preschool Teacher will play a vital role in supporting children's curiosity and love for learning during their early developmental stages.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning through play
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages social interaction and emotional growth
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing individualized support as needed
- Maintain classroom organization and manage behavior effectively using positive discipline techniques
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that support curriculum goals and enhance classroom experience
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing appropriate care
- Assist with daily routines such as snack time, nap time, diapering or potty training, and outdoor play
Qualifications
- Prior experience in preschool teaching, daycare, or childcare settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early education best practices
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs
- Childcare credentials or early childhood education qualifications are preferred but not mandatory
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children to support their growth and development
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour
