Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the construction crew to lay pipes according to blueprints and project plans.
- Ensure proper alignment and gradient of pipes to facilitate efficient flow and prevent blockages.
- Cut pipes to required lengths and connect them using appropriate methods (gluing, welding, etc.).
- Install and position pipe supports, brackets, and hangers as needed.
- Conduct inspections to identify any defects or issues in the pipe system.
- Assist in the excavation process and backfill trenches after pipe installation.
- Operate construction machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols on the job site.
- Previous experience as a Utility Pipe Layer or in a similar role within the construction or utility industry.
- Solid understanding of different types of utility pipes and their installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project plans.
