Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Franklin, KY. This role oversees day-to-day accounting operations, including maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of financial statements, and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting. The Financial Controller manages budgeting, cash flow, and forecasting activities, monitors project costs, and supports decision-making with financial analysis and performance metrics. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining internal controls, coordinating with external auditors and tax partners, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The role collaborates with leadership to develop financial policies, streamline processes, and provide clear financial insights to support the company’s growth and project delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong Accounting skills, including general ledger management and knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting.
- Solid Finance background, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for cost analysis, variance analysis, and project financial performance.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA is a plus.
- Experience in construction or project-based industries is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Extensive knowledge of WIP reporting and oversight
- Must have management skills in a small financing team
- Proficient in construction accounting software
