Responsibilities
- Lead engaging and Spirit-filled worship services that inspire connection and reverence among the congregation.
- Develop and coordinate worship sets that align with the church’s themes, seasons, and special events.
- Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer musicians and singers to build a cohesive and talented worship team.
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages participation from all age groups and backgrounds.
- Collaborate with pastors and ministry leaders to plan worship experiences that support sermon themes and church initiatives.
- Teach musical skills, vocal techniques, and worship principles to team members to promote growth and excellence.
- Oversee the selection of music repertoire, ensuring it reflects theological integrity and contemporary relevance.
- Maintain equipment, oversee sound checks, and ensure technical aspects support seamless worship experiences.
- Cultivate a culture of spiritual authenticity, humility, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the worship ministry.
Experience
- Proven leadership experience in leading worship teams or musical groups within a church or faith-based organization.
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to instruct musicians of varying skill levels in both musical techniques and worship principles.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, volunteers, and congregation members.
- Demonstrated mentoring ability to develop emerging leaders within the worship ministry.
- Musical proficiency on at least one instrument or vocal leadership with a solid understanding of musical arrangements.
- Familiarity with contemporary worship music styles as well as traditional hymns is preferred.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances during live services while maintaining a positive attitude. Pay: $20.13 - $24.24 per hour
