Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead Pastor at COVENANT CHURCH OF HARRISBURG INC, based in Harrisburg, NC. The Lead Pastor will oversee the spiritual leadership of the congregation, lead worship services, preach, guide Bible studies, and provide pastoral care. Responsibilities also include equipping and mentoring leaders, fostering discipleship, and ensuring the church’s mission aligns with its vision and community outreach efforts as outlined in the Bylaws of the Church.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Bible Study and theological interpretation.
- Experience in Pastoring and Pastoral leadership with a focus on community and spiritual growth.
- Proficiency in providing Pastoral Care, offering compassionate and empathetic guidance to individuals and families.
- Skills in fostering Discipleship, mentoring leaders, and promoting spiritual development within the congregation.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills for effective preaching and teaching.
- Ability to lead and inspire a diverse congregation, demonstrating strong relational and leadership skills.
- Master of Divinity or equivalent theological education is preferred.
