What are the responsibilities and job description for the Girls' Volleyball - Assistant Coach position at Covenant Christian Academy?
CCA is seeking an Assistant Coach for our girls volleyball program. Qualified candidates will love the Lord, demonstrate maturity of Christian faith and character, and possess the desire to invest in the lives of young women. They will have experience playing and coaching volleyball, and a love for the sport. They will maintain high standards of professional conduct, including but not limited to their ability to communicate with students, parents, opponents, and officials with clarity, integrity, and grace.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Assist the JV and/or Varsity head coach with team-related activities, including practices, games, transportation, and equipment.
- Assist in evaluation of athletes' skills, in order to determine their fitness and positional fit on the team.
- Assist with physical conditioning programs that will enable athletes to achieve maximum performance.
- Encourage student athletes in their spiritual lives, and be willing to walk alongside and disciple students as they work out their faith in Jesus on and off the field.
- Drive students to away games in a CCA 15-passenger van (if necessary).
Applicants must be willing to sign CCAs Statement of Faith and Core Values, and maintain the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum, serving as a Christian role model and mentor both in and out of school, to students, parents, fellow faculty members and employees in judgment, dignity, respect, and Christian living.
Contract runs: August 20, 2026 through November 22, 2026
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
