Executive Director
Location: Covenant Ability Network of Illinois (CANIL)
Reports to: Vice President of Operations, CIC
Status: Full-Time, Exempt, Benefits Eligible
About the Role
Covenant Ability Network of Illinois (CANIL) is seeking a licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to serve as Executive Director. This leader will oversee programs and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring excellence in care, compliance, and mission-driven leadership. The Executive Director works with the Vice President of Operations and Board of Directors to advance CANIL’s strategic vision and uphold Christian values in all areas of service.
Key Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership for ICF and CILA programs.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.

Lead staff recruitment, development, and retention.

Manage budgets, staffing, and financial performance.

Build strong relationships with families, guardians, churches, community partners, and state agencies.
Qualifications

Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Illinois (required or eligible within 60 days).

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field (Master’s preferred).

5 years of progressive leadership in ICF/CILA or similar settings.

Strong financial, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Valid Illinois driver’s license and ability to meet background/health requirements.
