Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team and drive excellence in supply chain and warehouse management. Duties
Assume ownership of warehouse inventory counts.
- Conduct data mining and analysis to identify discrepancies, root causes of inventory issues, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Spreadsheets, and Excel data analysis skills to visualize data trends, support financial modeling, and improve inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with warehouse operations for materials handling, shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials management activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis on inventory variances and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Support logistics inventory management by analyzing shipping schedules, production planning requirements, and demand fluctuations.
- Ensure inventory accuracy.
- Conduct regular physical counts of merchandise and reconcile with system records.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, warehouse management systems (WMS), or supply chain analytics roles.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier management experience.
- Technical proficiency in materials handling equipment including forklift operation certification required.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations including shipping & receiving, demand planning, stocking practices, and materials handling.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary while adhering to safety standards; experience with shipping & receiving is advantageous.
- Effective cross-functional communication skills to collaborate with various departments within the organization.
